Who are the winners of our Renovating Right Photo Contest?

Renovating right -- a photo illustrates it best.

We challenged our readers to show off images of their recent renovations and compete to win prizes in three categories: kitchens, bathrooms and exteriors. A panel of our editors judged the submissions. The winners each will receive a $100 gift card to The Home Depot.

Here are the prize-winning photos in each category of remodels:

Kitchens

Sleek white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and subway-tile flooring redefine an out-dated kitchen, taking it into the 21^st century. Submitted by Amy C. of Kentucky, this kitchen remodel features a sophisticated pass-thru and pendant lighting. Upgraded appliances plus plenty of space to move about and to store essentials complete this kitchen and make it the place to entertain friends and family.

Bathrooms

"Our bathroom is the perfect place to relax after a long day's work -- the soft blue walls, the dark wood cabinets, the floor-to-ceiling tiles lining the shower. It's practically spa-like!" says Carmen S. of the bathroom remodel. We couldn't agree more. Latch the door, draw a bath and imagine yourself far from your everyday cares.

Exteriors

Cindy O. is thrilled with the new screen porch added to give their otherwise-ordinary home some character -- not to mention massive curb appeal. In addition, she says, "The new steps created better flow into the house and we are now able to enjoy the outdoors, under cover and bug-free!" Who would argue with that logic?
