Circle top windows: popular for light, style
Circle top windows are called by many names: elliptical, half-round, semi-circle and more. These decorative windows add architectural interest to a home. They are typically seen paired with and atop casement awning windows, above doors and beneath the eaves of homes. The popular window manufacturer Andersen has its own line of specialty, half-circle windows: Circle Top™ windows, which allow for many customizations to suit different home styles.
One example of customization is the interior grille, a set of glazing bars, which come in a variety of configurations, including some that radiate from the center like a star burst. Andersen also features art glass adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright designs and a number of popular, architectural-design themes. These windows are vinyl-clad, allowing for a wooden interior and a low-maintenance exterior. They are available in several colors. You can also choose specialty, interior casing and a plinth block to add a bit more charm.
